Initial works for the Ballina bypass have been completed. The initial works were necessary to start stabilising the underlying soft soils in a manner of critical sections in preparation for construction of the bypass. Substantial construction has now commenced and will include:
- Heavy plant and machinery.
- Traffic changes.
- Drainage.
- Earthworks.
- Pavement construction.
- Bridge construction.
Work will be undertaken simultaneously along the project
corridor.
